	NEWS 2005 Trainee of Year Events 2005 Winners of the UK Trainee of the Year, held in the British Council in London. Ist Place went to Ingrid Orme, an Architecture student from Edinburgh College of Art who went to Brazil. In 2nd place Jane Kendall,a Mechanical Engineering student at Oxford University who undertook a traineeship in Kenya and in third position Kevin Quinn, a Physics student at Queen's University Belfast who went to Norway for his summer placement. Orla McKeever winner of the IAESTE Ireland Trainee of the Year 2005 with Members of the Board and staff from Leargas where IAESTE Ireland is based. Orla, a former student from Dundalk IT is currently studying Civil Engineering at Queen's University Belfast and she went on a placement to Austria. Winner of the first Swiss IAESTE Trainee of the Year was Stefan Trenkle who travelled to Iran for his placement. He is pictured here receiving his prize from Mr. Mueglich from Credit Suisse CS. Also in the photo are IAESTE Switzerland staff, National Secretary Ms Mirielle de Marco and Nadine von Wartburg, who organised the competition and Mr Zueger from the Zuercher Hochschule Winterthur ZHW where the event took place.
