The main purpose of the CEC is to enhance cooperation between IAESTE local committees in Central Europe and beyond, to coordinate joint projects and to share experience and lessons learned. The focus lies on ameliorating the exchange program, partnerships with local business and university activities.
The CEC is also an important tool for motivation of the volunteers contributing to IAESTE, through administration of the exchange program, organisation of the summer reception for incoming trainees and many other activities.

CONNECT is a new conference in the IAESTE calendar, formed in 2011 by our friends in Scotland. The purpose was to establish an event focusing on networking and training for LCs in Western & Northern Europe and Scandinavia who lie outside the catchment of CEC. It is hoped that the event can bring together LCs from this geographically similar location on a more regular basis. As a result it is more focused on social events and networking, bringing everyone together to share knowledge.
