Internships Make Masterpieces

In 2005, Mr George Tang, the Chief Executive Officer and the Founder of Innovalue Design Co. Ltd, met Dr Richard Wu, the Chairman of IAESTE China including Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR and was introduced to the IAESTE programme. Innovalue Design is an International Company which offers services in the area of Product design, Industrial design and other related fields.

On learning more about IAESTE Mr Tang thought it would be a good opportunity for his Company to become involved in the programme in order to receive new and creative ideas from foreign students coming from different parts of the world, which they could share with his own Chinese employees, as this is an important part in the design process.

Since then the Company has received 14 students from many countries of the world. Most of them are majors in Mechanical Engineering and mainly focus on product designs or Architecture projects. The students are well trained and learn much through the different tasks given by the Company. At the same time they also design products which can fulfill customers’ needs and bring a real benefit to the Company.

After their internship the students keep in touch with the Company and encourage others to apply for this opportunity which IAESTE offers. As they are impressed with the caliber of the student trainees which are selected for placements, Innovalue Design Co, Ltd this year offered more than 40 placements for foreign students from IAESTE. This should continue to grow in the years ahead which makes all participants, including IAESTE China including Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, proudly appreciate this kind of support.
